Directly on the private beach of the VOI Amarina Resort hotel , Blue Wave Diving Amarina is the ideal starting point for unforgettable underwater adventures.
We offer guided dives, sea baptisms, PADI courses and snorkeling, both for hotel guests and for those of nearby facilities.
Every day, you can dive into the crystal clear waters of Nosy Be, swim among the giant green turtles of Sakatia or explore the vibrant coral reef.
During the dedicated seasons, don't miss the opportunity to spot humpback whales and the spectacular whale shark, the largest fish in the world.
Our diving center is equipped with a dedicated boat, 250Hp Suzuki engine, 12-liter aluminum tanks, Coltri compressor and complete rental equipment.

DIVING
Whether you are a curious beginner, an experienced diver or an underwater photography enthusiast,
the seabed of Nosy Be will give you unique emotions.
Depths vary from a few meters up to over 30, offering scenarios suitable for all levels of experience.
This area, far from mass tourism, boasts an extraordinary biodiversity: hard and soft corals, gorgonians and sponges intertwine with a lively marine fauna composed of tropical fish, turtles, rays and moray eels.
With Amarina we offer you up to four dives a day : two in the morning, one in the afternoon and a suggestive night dive.
Our philosophy adapts to the sea and tidal conditions , selecting the best dive sites every morning to guarantee your safety and fun.
Our service is complete : assembly and disassembly of equipment, rinsing and storage, certified guide, weights and 12-liter aluminum cylinder.

CRAB N/W
From -12 m to -28 m
A large shallow bank, surrounded by a couple of shoals full of life that can be explored up to almost 30 meters. The sandy bottom that separates the formations guarantees the encounter with dozens of friendly garden eels.

NOSY FANIHY
From -4 m to -15 m
Nosy Fanihy is the sacred island that is only 10 minutes from the resort. Ideal for first experiences such as baptisms and courses, it never disappoints even the most expert divers who can make a second dive of the day (or third) here, without having to worry about running out of bottom time. The shallower part is full of colorful fish and large corals, while the deeper part is home to smaller and more camouflaged creatures.
NOSY KIBUT
From -7 m to -20 m
Another very small island not far from the hotel. This one is also ideal for baptisms and courses, but special for the search for critters and macros such as seahorses, ribbon moray eels, nudibranchs, frogfish, etc...
WHALE WATCHING
FROM AUGUST TO SEPTEMBER*
Experience the thrill of meeting humpback whales
During the austral winter, thousands of humpback whales reach the warm waters of northern Madagascar to mate, give birth and raise their calves.
These majestic cetaceans, known for their social behavior, give unforgettable shows with their jumps, snorts and fin strokes.
On board our boat, you will have the opportunity to observe up close moments that will remain engraved in your memory.
In addition to humpback whales, there is no shortage of sightings of other marine wonders such as dolphins and turtles. Prepare your eyes and heart for one of the most exciting experiences that the sea of Nosy Be can offer.

SNORKELING
WITH THE
WHALE SHARK
FROM OCTOBER TO DECEMBER*
Swim with the gentle giant of the sea
As humpback whales resume their journey towards the South Pole, the waters of Nosy Be welcome one of the most extraordinary encounters: the whale shark, the largest fish in the world. This peaceful giant, devoid of true teeth and a filter feeder, approaches the surface to feed on the abundant plankton of this season, offering us the unique opportunity to swim alongside it.
During the excursion, with a bit of luck, you may also spot dolphins, other cetaceans, sea turtles and mobulas.

Duration: half day (9:00 - 12:00).
Included in the price: mask, snorkel, fins, short wetsuit, snacks and drinks on board.
Recommended: sunglasses, hat, sunscreen, swimsuit, towel and a long-sleeved shirt.

An adventure designed for every level!
Immerse yourself in the wonder of the underwater world with our expert guides for an unforgettable snorkeling experience in Nosy Sakatia, the turtle island.
Located west of Nosy Be, this natural pearl offers crystal clear, shallow waters (2-3 metres) ideal for closely observing giant green turtles (Chelonia mydas) as they feed at high tide.
Excursion details
Departure and return directly from the beach in front of the Amarina hotel.
Morning: departure at 08:30, return at 12:00.
Afternoon: departure at 2.30pm, return at 5pm.
Duration : approximately half a day, with 30 minutes of navigation.
Included : full equipment (mask, fins, snorkel), snacks and drinks on board.
